Meet Dr. Alecio-Brenie

Dr. Cristiane Alecio-Brenie, DVM (Conditional License)

Dr. Alecio-Brenie’s love for animals began at a very young age. She dreamed of becoming a veterinarian from the time she was five years old, growing up surrounded by animals and spending time on her grandparents’ farm in Brazil. That early connection with animals eventually led her to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in Brazil in 2012.

After moving to Canada in 2016, a personal experience with her Golden Retriever, Summer, inspired her to continue her veterinary journey and pursue her veterinary license in Canada. This experience also deepened her passion for providing compassionate, thoughtful care, not only for pets, but for the families who love them. She currently practises in Ontario under a conditional license, working under supervision.

She has a special interest in client education, ultrasound imaging, and surgery, and genuinely enjoys continuing to learn and grow as a veterinarian. She believes that helping clients understand their pet’s health and feel comfortable with their care is an important part of being a veterinarian.

Outside of the clinic, her love for animals continues to be a big part of who she is, and she is excited to bring her experience, compassion, and enthusiasm for veterinary medicine to the Wellington team and the pets and families in our community.
